Well, the injections are more "Humane" as the government so lightly puts it. They even allowing viewing of the lethal injections so the conspiracy happy people don't say "Hey, they aren't really killing them!! They are just giving those people new identities and lives to live!!" I look at the death penalty with disgust myself, especially with that private viewing session of the party that was offended, hurt, or harmed in some way, shape, or form, but if we didn't have it, the prisons would be overflowing.. It is such a love-hate relationship.

We dont have the death penalty here in sweden, fortunately. Most criminals and in a few rare cases murderers can become productive members of society if you use the right methods during their prison sentence. But sometimes, like when some sick freak murders someone because he felt it would be fun or like in this case, the death sentence looks like a better punishment.

yeah we don't have it either. instead we waste all our resources "rehabilitating them" and then we let them go and then guess what...they go and do more crime. not all mind you, but it's enough to be a waste of precious money in my opinion. and honestly, I don't think its morally right to victims either. Someone raped and killed their family and then the criminal gets "rehabilitated" and gets let off the hook. where's the justice in that? instead we could put the money into health care, getting new jobs up for people all kinds of thinsg it can go to and it doesn't

Thing is, they get rehabilitated, but their lives will be torture. They cant get married or have kids because, well, they wont be able to hide their crimes for long. They can get a job, but only the crappiest of crap, because all the good jobs will reject them once they see their criminal record. And i think it would be an even bigger waste of money to put them in prison for a long time, then have them commit a crime again and go back for prison for a long time.

and a lot of the rehab ones end up going back to crime anyways
