The Case Goes Down Today

Will the Russian Supreme court rule for religious freedom in favor of Jehovah's Witnesses or not?
Thats the question everyone in the JW world are asking themselves.
If the court rules against us, it will be the first time that the Russian government has placed censorship on a internationally recognized Christian literature.
That's unlikely though, since they've always rule in favor of us. After all, their Constitution assures religious freedom.
Worst case scenario, our literature is banned. And if that happens, things will only get worse. See, we won't stop exporting literature to a country with Jehovah's Witnesses.
(During the reign of the Soviet Union, they tried to stop us, and failed epically.) We must provide spiritual food to our brothers everywhere, and when it comes down to it, "we must obey god as ruler rather than men." - Acts 5:29
Because of that fact, we would have to disobey their law, and then probably be deemed an enemy of the state for it. (The government over there hates us already, so it wouldn't take long.)
And if that happens... there will be imprisonment, probably torture, etc.
It's all happened before in history.
Thankfully though, this won't effect all of Russia. But rather just a town. (Well, unless there's a domino effect. Now that would suck)
Whatever the ruling, Jehovah's Witnesses will never give up their faith, and will never stop spreading the kingdom message in Russia.

And we lost.... Here we go. The political roller coaster ride.

The case will now be appealed to the european court of human rights.
Hopefully, they will recognize that our people have been, and always be a peaceful people.
And NOT extremists.

Well, we're talking about europe here, so unless russia makes them piss their pants, i think you're in the clear. The western world is a little more tolerant than those morons over in russia.

Thankfully, that's how it works nowadays.
Let's hope things turn out in support of true justice and freedom.
BTW, can you move this over to the news section? I would fit better there.
