Well, it's not that far of a stretch.

I saw one at the store the other day, and it had the capacity for 8 GB.

(BTW, we're talking about flash drives, not RAM.)

Oh, i thought he meant RAM. I've seen a 64 GB one. It was custom made and costed a thousand bucks (mostly because it had a hand made steampunk casing), but still, they're probably only a year or so away.

I managed to get 6GB RAM on my computer with 3 DIMM's. But i think you can get at most 12 if you use the same motherboard and the best RAM available in the store i bought my parts from. So 16 in a single stick wont be here for a while.

And by then we've probably alredy been nuked by a basestar or two

LOL

there's one problem though. Only the newest version of windows 7 64x supports more than 3 or 4 GB ram... the rest just gets thrown away.

Linux probably does it, but then again, who the frag would need more than 4 GB of RAM on a Linux PC, aside from servers or professional 3d rendering gear? Hell, i can play 3d games in Linux with the whole ram usage not exceeding 1 GB, while vista needs 1 GB alone.

Speaking of 1GB of RAM... spore uses 1 GB of RAM alone. Surprised

That's stretching my fear of BSODs almost to the limit...
