Part 2: The Prophecy Empty Part 2: The Prophecy

Post by Darkwing Mon Dec 14, 2009 10:32 pm

Devon awoke in a cold sweat, screaming. He looked around. He was sitting on a bed in a dark room. He didn't know where he was, last thing he remembered was being escorted to the Queen's council room by Sadow, he must've blacked out. The dream, was it a a dream? It was so vivid, so real, but it couldn't be real, Sadow was alive....he was alive?
Devon hurridly jumped off of the bed and headed for the door. The door opened and he ran into Sadow who was carrying a cup. whatever liquid was in the cup spilled over both of them. Devon sighed in relief.

"I thought you were dead" Devon said to Sadow.

Part 2: The Prophecy Empty Re: Part 2: The Prophecy

Post by Reaper(KF) Mon Dec 14, 2009 11:31 pm

As Jacob prepared for FTL back to the Del-system he finished reading up on the current news of the Aerilians. Nothing new, nothing exciting. He wondered what would have happened in the meeting he declined to go to. Though Sadow seemed to be taken aback by his polite decline to go, he had accepted at what it was. Jacob was wanting to get back to the Serinity and back to exploring this sector of the Orion arm. As the FTL system started, Jacob looked back at the the bustling planet of the Aerilians. He wondered how bad things were and why the Aerilians wanted such a large "defense" force in the first place. He figured he would find out if anything big started.

"Back to home. My...ship sweet ship."

Part 2: The Prophecy Empty Re: Part 2: The Prophecy

Cannon entered the Neutral Point One Station... He was received by several ambassadors of the several races into the so called "Galactic Comunity"... He also stranged the fact that, although it was usually refered to 7 races, he could only count 4.

One, capable of reading it's mind said:

"The Del Cyborgs weren't capable of arriving here at time, so they decline, and the Skirtzin aren't exactly what we call Sentient Beings, but before what you call of "Dragons"... The others... We dont want them to know you're here..."

"Why?" Asked I...

"They're pretty impirialistic, and already tried to conquer all our worlds... We repelled them with joint action in the 5 battles that ocured until today..."

"So, you're afraid that they try to conquer our race?"

"Yes... And we don't know the size of their forces actually... They inhabit the deep galactic core and we don't go there often..."

Suddenly an alarm ringed... "Alert... Halen Disc detected... ETA: 2 hours..."

"What's that?" Asked I...

"It seems that someone leaked the information on that and those guys are coming unto us... We need to evacuate you quick... How's your ship?"

"They were repairing the FTL drive and the shipyard was repairing the Hull and the Plating... We're in no condition to exit from this situation at least in the next couple of hours... And much less for combat... the Plating is almost destroyed, but still we've most weapons... Only the big gauss cannons were disabled..."

"So, we're in an hard situation here..." Said an alien...

Sadow sighed, shaking his head. "I'm afraid you were only having a very bad nightmare. I was bringing you some Aerelian herbal tea to help calm them, but..." He motioned to the cup on the floor. "That didn't go so well. I have also come to inform you that some of your friends have been spotted on one of the neutral zone bases. Apparently there was a meeting going on there, but since I'm the only one of any diplomatic status currently, there isn't anything I can do. I'm dealing with this situation as of yet. There's a war brewing in the galaxy, and it's coming soon. All of our people have been called back, except for the spies.. The Organisation can't lose it's intellegience, and it's the only thing keeping us on top. They are unparalelled when it comes to getting their hands on information." Sadow mused for a few moments, lost in thought, before smiling. "Shall I show you around?"

----------------------------------------------------------
[going to start up two of the main villians here.. was thinking along the lines of one from each race]

Pera Blackfang, leader of an extremist group that was exiled from Aerelis, looked around her little home on Persius II. She was going to get her revenge, and if a war started, all the better. She sat up as a knock came upon her door, and she opened it. "What do you want?!" She barked, annoyed that her meditation was disturbed.

"Mistress, the Razelian is here." whimpered the messenger, before bolting off. A corpse-like being in a dark cloak walked up to Pera and the words appeared in her head: "We have much to do."

Part 2: The Prophecy Empty Re: Part 2: The Prophecy

Post by JPB18 Tue Dec 15, 2009 11:51 am

Cannon was already in his ship, trying to syncronize as much as he could...

"Informatic Systems?" Said Cannon

"Checked!" Said the Bridge Engineer

"Comunications?"

"Checked!" Said the Comm officer

"Weapon Systems?"

"Almost on full capacity... We're lacking 5 massive gauss cannons..." Said the Tac Officer

"Sublight Engines?"

"Checked!" Said the Helm...

"FTL drive?"

"Not checked... They're still assembling the interface nodules..." Said the Engineer...

"And plating?"

"Almost there captain... The repair station is still repairing the last fragments..."

Life Suport is good and functioning at full power...

"Neutral Point One, this is the Discovery... Repairs are almost terminated... How's the situation looking?" Said I on the comm channel

"They're 15 minutes from this position... Any escape is now impossible... They're distorting subspace... And I thougtht your ship wouldn't be ready so quick..."

"Me neither... it seems that your station is pretty eficient..."

"Thank you..."

In the meanwhile, a fully fledged battlefleet was forming up a few km's away for the Station... The flagship was Aerelian design, has most of the ships in the fleet...

Right, we're in Aerelian space

The station raised it's shields in what seamed a cloud of electrified gás... The other ships did the same... They were waiting for the Halen assault...

[uh..... the shields wouldn't be like that... the shields act as more of a mirror.. Most normal weaponry would be reflected. The station itself wouldn't be directly inside of Aerelian space, but on the boundary of Aerelian and Skirtzen space. To explain the cloud of electrified gas, possibly could be a nebula generator to discourage any attack.]

The various ships lined up in a assualt formation, the AE Ironclaw leading the formation as the flagship. All of it's weapons were charged and ready, and the shield reflected light, causing a slight rainbow in actual space. The size of the ship dwarfed even that of the space station, but it wasn't the biggest by far. Fighters were launched out of it's docking bays, passing by the station a few times, seemingly unaffected by the cloud. the fleet was ready.. now it was time to see if they were fully prepared.

------------------------------------

Pera came out of a coma like state, having been in a mind link with the Razelian. It wasn't a great feeling, but it wasn't the worst. She nodded at the Razelian as she began to pack. They were going to find other groups of the 7 other races, and start a galactic war that would shatter the galaxy forever... as the the prophecy foretold by all the elders of each race had predicted... just a little ahead of schedule.... The Coming of Armageddon, the universal god of rebirth and destruction..

"How's your FTL?" Asked the Station Commander.

"They're now making the connection between the FTL drive and the Fusion Reactors..." Said Cannon "We're exiting the Space dock in two minutes... We might help out defending the station from inside the shield..."

"Yeah... It's better... BTW, usually the first attack waves are fighters to distract defending forces while the Flagship arrives into strike position, usually over the station... We need your flaks to make a iron barrier between the fighters and the station... Our phase cannons should destroy them with ease..."

"Ok..." Said I, after that shutted down the comm... "How are we..."

"The engines are now fully powered, Hull plating is at fully strenght..." Said the Tactical Officer

"Helm... Take us out... Remain inside the Stations Shield..."

The ship exited the spacedock and remained inside the shield.

"Sir, we've detected a circular object with 10 quilometers radius coming in our direction... ETA 30 seconds..."

"Tactical Alert... All crew to battlestations..."

The repair teams went to their posts as the marines patroled the corridors equiped with P-90's... The Engineers raised some sort of force shield around the main fusion generator, courtesy of the Aerelions, and locked down to FTL drive accesses... The cannons powered up and the missiles were loaded into the tubes...

"Sir, they've arrived..."

An huge disc appeared in the area... it dwarfed the Station, but not by much, and was far bigger than the AE IronClaw... Yet, they stood still...

Commander Fykes nodded, and sighed. They had been called back to the planet, along with all personell not part of The Organisation. The High Queen was really worried about the soon-to-come war. The figheres redocked and the message was sent to the station. After transporting the personel to the ship, the IronClaw stayed in direct path of the disk. They had no quarrel with the Halen, but they were taking no chances.

"Send a transmission to them to leave Aerelian space. The borders were closed for a reason, so they shouldn't be here. Get them to leave, then activate the barrier after the humans are sent on their way." Fykes stated, pacing the bridge. They may have been smaller, but their weapons were more than enough. Only one other ship could defeat the IronClaw, and Prince Sadow was the proud owner of that vessel. It's shield systems were top of the line, it's weapons of a prototype plasma origin, able to eat through hull plating with ease, and though it was a bit bigger than the IronClaw, it was agile. but the IronClaw had a fighte and bomber compliment, and a nice big payload of missiles.

"The Halen don't have their shields or weapons up. They just seem to be here for the supposed meeting. They said that meant no disrespect of the closed borders policy. They do want to see what humans are doing here sir." The comms officer stated, and yawned. They had been on call for the past 48 hours.. and needed rest.

"Have them contact the humans. This is not our fight." Fykes barked, and sat back in his chair.

"They seem to have shields down sir... they're not in battle readiness by our sensors..." Said the Science officer...

"So, they made a lot of noise about it, right?" Asked I...

"It seems so... The flagship is signaling for them to pass... they're escorting them..."

"Ok, dock with the station..." Said I... "Let's see what we can do with them..."

"Aye,sir..."

One assault squad led the Halen and Humans to the conference room, weapons set on stun. They stood at attention, taking in all the surroundings of the room.

Jacob now docked with his active ship started to think what his next move was.

Hmm...now that I have my ship I can go where ever I want to...where ever I want to....

Jacob prepared the Serinity for FTL travel. He was heading home.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

He exited out of slipspace around the third moon of Pel. He recieved an acknowledgement of his entrance.

"Unknown ship identify yourself." asked an operator in some controlroom on Pel.

"This is the Delkoni ship Serinity. I request landing clearance on Pel."

"Scanning....we have no records of your ship in our system. You have clearance to dock in the city of Gargel until we get some info on your ship."

"Clearance recieved. Thank you control."

Jacob began to worry of what they would find.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As Jacob waited in the lobby of the city spacedock, he began to surf the Delkoni network. He found to his delight that the Sal and Fel had accepted a ceasefire about fifty years into his exile. Jacob sighed with relief. Maybe he would be accepted yet.

Still, just as he ended that thought, a door opened and what seemed to be a delegate and some soldiers.

Well this doesn't seem good.

Pera entered the only outside colony of the Halen space, knowing full well this is where the exiles were. She had found the Razelian's name out, which even she couldn't pronounce without help. He was named Kr'Zaq'Tk, which mainly only Razelians themselves could pronounce easily. They were looking for a Zer'Tesh of Halen species..

Devon sat in his room. Every once in a while voices would come over the intercomm giving orders. It seemed as if some battle was on the brink. Devon looked to the desk, concentrating. A glass ornament exploded on the desk.

"Not quite what I was going for" Devon muttered to himself. He looked at the desk again, this time concentrating on a small mirror that was resting there. He concentrated and concentrated, thn, it moved. That was more like it, moving, not exploding, that's what we want. Devon saw his glass of water on a table in the other corner of the room. Devon smirked to himself. Time to try that cliched move. He looked at the glass and suddenly it came flying at him. He caught it in his hand and took a drink. This could get fun.

"Salcor Yaklin?" asked the official looking one.

"It's Jacob now." Jacob explained.

"Ok....so we don't make an incident please come with us peacefully."

"Of course."

The soldiers escorted Jacob and the Diplomat into an empty waiting room.

And so the uneasy road to acceptance begins.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

The diplomat or interragator, which ever one he plays, started off with, "Do you know why you're being asked to stay here for awhile?"

"I have an idea," Jacob replied.

"Why did you choose to come back into Delkoni-Sal space after all these years? Wouldn't you have prefered to enter into Fel space?"

"I don't consider myself Fel anymore, but I am pleased to hear about the ceasefire."

"...of course. Well do you know then that for in order for a Fel or even for a Fel that has achieved metastability, that you must go through a process of..."

"Assimilation?"

"...no."

"Well anyway, can we do this assimilation real quick like? I want to get back to exploring."

"Ah yes about your ship."

"Hmm?"

"Your ship is being guarded until either you comply with us or you accept to go back into exile until you want to comply with us."

"This compliance depends on what I would be complying with."

"Just what I wanted to talk about."

Sadow knocked on the door to the High Queen's chambers, and was taken aback as a doctor left her quaters, frowning. "She's very sick Sadow... she won't survive the night... Your king now.. Go inside... and provide your mother the comfort she needs in this time..."
Sadow was heartbroken... his own mother.. she was going to die... He walked calmly as he could into her chambers, and knelt by her bedside.. and clasped her hand within his.
"Mo-Mother.. don't die on me... you need to lead these people.. I don't know how to do it..." He tried to speak, tears and the sobs that wanted to explode out of him making speech difficult.

"M-My son... I know I haven't been the greatest mother.... but... there is something I must tell you.. and it concerns everyone in the galaxy... You have a sister.. she was exiled for taking the Elder's teachings of the 2nd coming to heart... she tried to start a war that would consume all of Aerelis... but now she is gone... spies tracked her to the Halen space... she is trying to start a galactic war... and it will kill everyone if she succeeds... you must.. stop her... and... I love you son.." the High Queen coughed, a contorted expression of pain and sadness on her face, and she took her last breath, her hand now limp in Sadows... the new High King...

He motioned for the Royal Guard to come into the chambers, and sighed sadly. "Let Devon know that he needs to dress nice... give him some clothes for the funeral of the deceased High Queen... as is tradition..."

---------------------------------------------------------------

Pera clutched at her chest.. pain like never before exploded inside of her... which meant one thing... her mother was dead... Oh how she seethed that it wasn't by her own hand... that meant no one was left to lead the Aerelians.. she could come back, now that the High Queen's exile was revoked since she was the last remaining member of the royal family.. but her mission came first.. She landed on the planet, and led the way to the exile's camp.

Devon sat in his room. He had been there for hours, alone. This was getting ridiculous, things were happening and Devon needed to know what. He got up and went to the door. It was still locked from the outside. Devon concentrated on the door. iT began to quiver, buckling under the mental stress. Finally, it smashed open. A guard rushed in from around the corner.

"Hey what the....."

Devon glared at the guard who was thrown against the wall. Devon stepped over the unconcious body and snuck into the hallway.

Cannon entered in the so called conference room... It was an huge... but really huge room with hundreds of seats... each one with a small alien looking desk with a screen in it...

Really cool humm...

The Chamber President, as it was intitled, started talking...

"Hello, fellow diplomats! We're here to announce the apearence of one more race into the galactic plan! And representing the Humans, we have Captain James Cannon, of the first Earth Starship: The Discovery. And now, I give the word to Captain Cannon..."

"Hello, fellow beings..." Started I... "Thank you everyone for this chance of being introduced in the galactic comunity... We, the Human race, will try to make a good history for mankind out here... and try to behave better than we've behaved with the Delkoni and the Aerelions... We're, in fact, thankfull that, after the combat started between us, they tryed to rescue us all from what looked like a sinking ship... Thank you."

"Thank you for your speach, Captain... But now you shall have to answer some questions we've for you..."

Oh my God, what do they want?

Devon waited around a corner, listening to the thoughts of some guards. He then turned and headed for some shuttle craft.

He entered the hanger, just where the guards had told him it was. He climbed into one of the small ships and flicked all the switches on. It was time to get out of here, time to find answers, time to figure out what the hell that dream meant. The shuttle power up and lifted off. This was the easy part, the hard part now will be to get past the patrols....

They really want us to get stucked at Sol System...

"Don't worry sir... They wont be able to do that much longuer... we can always explore at will... it's just a matter of time... It's just a matter of us showing us our true force..."

"Yah... and you know what our true force is?" Asked I

"Hmmm... no..."

"Thought so..."

suddenly an alarm ringed... "Prisioner has escaped from the Zeraila... All hands to battlestations..."

Crap... Devon

"Run! We need to capture him before they do..."

"Aye, sir..."

They started running towards the Discovery...

Jacob was beginning to get nervous. The interragator had exited right when they began to talk about "compliances". He was basically trapped in the room because of one, the door was locked, two his ship was on lock down, and three, he couldn't get acces to any network because of a wireless jammer no doubt installed to keep detainees out of other peoples buisness.

Finally another interrigator entered the room.

"Good afternoon Salcor."

"It's Jacob."

"Whatever you say. First things first, you wanted to know of these compliances?"

"Yes."

"Well then, the first one is to swear loyalty to the keeping of peace and stability in Delkoni then Galactic space."

"That I can Do."

"Second is that you must enroll into a stability program."

"They have those now?"

"Please Sal-...I mean Jacob this is serious. As you know the Sal and Fel have been at each other's throats since the first Rampancy war."

"So you mean the ceasefire is just so that there appears to be stability between the Delkoni cultures?"

The diplomat gives a cold stare to Jacob.

"As I was saying," continued the diplomat, "Thirdly is that you must wait for your stability/rampancy status to be accepted by the Delkoni-Sal, Fel council. And the last is just for you. You must pay time for your past deeds aswell as give up your ship."

"I'll give up my ship when the creators come back."

"Well then, you must be happy with the decision to go back into exile."

"Is there no other way?"

"Well....the only other way I can give you is to work as a diplomat with...somebody to guide them."

"You mean I'll be watched all time, every time."

"Exactly."

"I guess I could try that."

"There is no try. Do you accept?"

"I really don't want to have to stay in exile any longer and since there is no other choice...I accept."

"Excellant."

The diplomat gets out of his seat and leaves the room. The guards lock the door accordingly.

Well this is going to be fun.

[okay now my post.]

Sadow didn't know what to do, but he looked up as the guard ran into the room. "High King, we can easily catch him in our fighters, but what is your order?"

Sadow sat there, deep in thought, before stating his answer... He couldn't be bothered with it at the time... he had to find himself a Queen so he could have an heir, as was custom. "Escort him on his course to the where he is going, and shoot down ANY resistance. I don't care what they are." he stated, and slumped in his seat. Zera walked in the door, dressed regally as everyone in Aerelis was, except for the active military personell.

The ceremony went well, with no one interrupting it like before.. He looked up, tears streaming down his face as he spoke the vows, and clasped Zera's hand, heading towards the chapel soon after, his mother's body heading towards the royal burial grounds. Things had to be done with composure... atleast till after the ceremony...

-----------------------------------------------------------

The fightesr flew around Devon's shuttle in a protective phalanx, sending him a message that they will escort him to his destination, as far as Aerelian space goes.

----------------------------------------------------------------

Pera felt another pang, but ignored it. She entered the camp like she owned it, confronting the exiled Halen. "Zer'Tash... I am Pera Blackfang. I think we have something in common in our views.. Care to talk?"

Jacob was waiting in the docking bay being watched by guards.

Well...they've either must have decided that I'm going back into exile or I'm waiting for my "owner".

Jacob was roaming around the network when somebody said his name.

"Salcor, it's a pleasure to meet you. You must have done alot of work to keep your age from creeping into your look."

Jacob looked up to see a woman in casual pants and shirts.

"You must be?"

"Oh I should have introduced myself. I am Adriana Belech. I will be your offical diplomat."

"You're my owner?"

"I wouldn't like to think of myself that way, but technically yes. I am your watchdog."

"Splendid...."

"So where is your ship?"

"This way..."

As Jacob and Adriana boarded the Serinity Adriana began to ask questions.

"Why did you name your ship Serinity?"

"Hmm? Oh you must have read the logs. I named her that because when I was exiled that's what I was looking for. Luckily I found it."

"You claim to have."

Jacob sighed and they moved on to the bridge.

"So Adriana what will my first assignment be?"

"We will be going to Aerelis to apologize for a Delkoni representative not being able to arrive at the galactic meeting."

"Oh."

"I am uploading the coordinates."

"Don't worry about it I was just there a few days ago when I declined an invitation to that meeting."

"You were invited? Why were you there anyway?"

"I'll fill you in while in slipspace."

Let's make that an human accent formed word...

-----------------------

The Discovery was now following the squad ahead, along with two Aerelis frigates...

"Devon, what's your status?" Asked I...

"I'm ok... I have an hard headache and I'm following some weird voice that's guiding me towards some place..." Said Devon from his shuttle...

"Are you alucinating?" Asked I...

"No! I AM NOT ALUCINATING!" Said Devon with anger...

"Ok... The Aerelian told us to follow you at all costs... You're in charge here... Lead the way!"

"Ok, Thank you... AND NOW STOP BUGGING ME!" Scream him while shutting down the comms...

Ok... That's a strong headache...

The Serinity jumped into the Aer system about right in front of a small vessel which narrowly dodged it.

"That was one lucky son of a Schwein." exclaimed Jacob as he now turned his attention to two Aerilian frigates and what looked like to be...

"....not that ship again."

It was the human ship.

"What do you mean?" asked Adriana. Turning her head to look at it she asked, "What kind of ship is that?"

"That would be the human ship I was talking about...."

Jacob put in Aerelis' coordinates and silently slumped down while what Jacob considered a chase continued.
